Originating as a stage play, we learned back in the summer of 2019 that Rusted Armors is making the leap to the anime side with a project now announced as in the works. The series has been slim on news for the longest time, doling out a couple of casting bits, some visuals for the designs, and most recently setting it for the January 2022 season. Now, we’ve got our first promotional video for the project and a round of cast additions.
The previously announced Japanese cast includes:
- Taiki Sato as Magoichi
- Toshiki Masuda as Oda Nobuinaga
The newly announced cast includes:
- Kentarō Araki as Tsurukubi
- Takato Nagata as Hotarubi
- Yūichirō Hirata as Kurohyo
- spi as Deku
- Yūki Kamisato as Ageha
- Tsubasa Sakiyama as Hototogisu
The stage plays began in 2017 with the second one launching at the time. A manga adaptation of the stage play ran previously from hagi and serialized by Monthly Comic Gene.
Check out the official site.
Property Concept: The project focuses on the relationship between the gun-toting Magoichi — who is the leader of the Saika Ikki mercenary group — and the Sengoku era warlord Oda Nobunaga.
