We learned back in November 2020 about the reveal of the SD Gundam World Heroes as part of the continuing franchise. This show picks up where SD Gundam World Sangoku Sōketsuden left off and it saw an April 8th, 2021 debut. Now, the Gundam social side has updated to reveal that a new side story project is coming – though in what form was not revealed. Planned for a winter debut, the new story focuses on the “Knight World”, with the main character being the Knight Strike Gundam, who has to overcome many ordeals. A plastic kit of the character will be coming as well.
Coming from inspiration by the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel, it’s part of the 40th-anniversary celebration for the Gundam property.
The series is directed by Takahiro Ikezoe based on the scripts by Touko Machida.

- Gakuto Kajiwara as Liu Bei Unicorn Gundam
- Maxwell Powers as Sergeant Verde Buster Gundam
- Naomi Kusumi as Benjamin V2 Gundam
- Ryota Takeuchi as Nobunaga Gundam Epyon
- Anri Katsu as Edward Second V
- Katsuyuki Miura as Sasuke Delta Gundam
Plot Concept: The balance of the worlds is maintained by heroes. Suddenly a red-hot meteor falls upon one of these worlds, called Neo World. An amnesiac youth named Wukong Impulse Gundam appears at the point where it landed. The chaos that starts with this incident spreads through the other worlds, one after another.
At the same time, Zhuge Liang Freedom Gundam learns via astrology of an impending disaster. He and his sworn friend Liu Bei Unicorn Gundam take action to save the worlds from this crisis, and begin a journey along with Wukong.
What will Wukong Impulse Gundam think as he meets the heroes of each world? Will this youth bring about peace or catastrophe? Now begins a new story of heroes!
