The folks at Toei look to be following up the almost-ending Digimon Adventure quickly as last month they announced that the fall will see a new TV series with Digimon Ghost Game. It didn’t come with much information at the time but we’ve been getting a few updates since then, which is good as the series is set for an October 3rd, 2021 debut.

The latest update gives us our first promotional video for the season while also finally starting to talk story more with its concept, both of which you can see below.

It’ll be directed by Kimitoshi Chioka and Masato Mitsuka with Masashi Sogo handling the scripts. Mariko Ito is adapting Tenya Yabuno’s original designs with Toei Animation handling the production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Mutsumi Tamura as Hiro Amanokawa
  • Miyuki Sawashiro as Gammamon
  • Yu Kobayashi as Ruri Tsukiyono
  • Kazuya Nakai as Angoramon
  • Akira Ishida as Kiyoshirō Higashimitarai
  • Yu Shimamura as Jellymon

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Plot Concept: They are just a little ahead of you. When Sora Amanokawa encounters an unknown creature “Digimon” that cannot be seen by ordinary people, along with the mysterious Digimon Gammamon, he steps into the world of Digimon to approach the mystery of the mysterious phenomena that occur around him.
