A new adaptation on its way!

The latest installment of Young Magazine has revealed that its title Under Ninja is getting an anime adaptation. No details were provided regarding the adaptation of the manga, but we have seen other adaptations from this creator, Kengo Hanazawa. Their series I Am Hero saw a live-action film.

The manga series from Kengo Hanazawa began in 2018 as serialized in Weekly Young Magazine. It’s got six volumes out in Japan so far and is licensed for publication in English through Denpa.

Plot Concept: After World War II, Allied Command in Japan developed a new agency to help manage terrorism and violence within the Pacific region. The agency was staffed with ninja and they were initially tasked to handle domestic affairs. Eventually, that program grew to its current form, managing 20,000 ninja across a range of domestic and international affairs. One of those ninja happens to be Kudo. The seventeen-year-old high school loser is now poised to be the next line of defense against a potential surge in foreign assassins invading Tokyo.
