Aniplex has a pretty interesting project coming up in Japan as they’re working with game design company Yuhodo and LIDEN FILMs with Build Divide – which Kakegurui writer Homura Kawamoto and younger brother Hikaru Muno receiving credit for the original concept design for it.
The project is getting an original anime to complement the game, as one does, with Build Divide #00000 being its name. It’s set for a two-cour run in October 2021 and April 2022 with the folks at Aniplex USA have confirmed their pickup of the project. They’ll be bringing it out this fall as BUILD-DIVIDE -#000000- CODE BLACK with distribution plans to be revealed.
The latest update comes from Japan with a new promo that showcases the project more and a new key visual as well featuring more of the cast.
Yuki Komada is directing it based on the scripts by Yoriko Tomita. Shinpei Tomooka is handling the character designs with LIDEN FILMS handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Yū Serizawa as Kikka
- Aoi Koga as Hiyori Tori
- Yūto Uemura as Teruhito Kurabe
- Sayumi Watabe as Sakura Banka
- Atsushi Tamaru as Naomitsu Enjō

Plot Concept: The project is set in “New Kyoto,” where a new governing lord is decided through one’s skills at a card game. The anime will center around a boy and a “guard” that he can materialize.
