‘Waccha PriMagi!’ TV Anime Premiere Scheduled

This fall will see the debut of a new series in the Pretty Series franchise with Waccha PriMagi! to celebrate the 10th-anniversary. With it getting an update about a month ago, the official site has updated again with a few new things. First, we’ve got an October 3rd, 2021 premiere now set for it and we have a new key visual belo.w Additionally, four more actors have been confirmed for the production below.

The series has Junichi Sato joining the franchise for the first time and serving as an executive director on it. Kosuke Kobayashi will be the series director, their first time as well, with Chi Man Park as the chief director. Fumi Tsubota is on board to handle script supervision after being away for seven years. Sayaka Toda is adapting the designs by Yumi Nashimoto of syn Sophia.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Chinatsu Hirose as Matsuri Hinoya
  • Riko Koike as Myamu
  • Aya Uchida as Hina Yayoi
  • Rie Hikisaka as Chimumu
  • Singer Anna Suzuki as Lemon Kokoa
  • Singer Sunao Yoshikawa as Kyaron

The newly added cast includes:

  • Umeka Shouji as Amane Sumeragi
  • Konomi Kohara as Batano, Amane’s partner magician
  • Mayu Sagara as Miruki Amauri
  • Yui Ogura as Hanitan, Miruki’s partner magician

Plot Concept: Middle-school first-year student Matsuri Hinoya loves festivals, and she dreams of one day being able to star in “PriMagi,” a magic-like form of stage entertainment borne from song, dance and fashion. That day arrives when the hyper-spirited, trouble-making magician Myamu arrives from the magical realm and scouts Matsuri for PriMagi. Together, the two compete with rivals to rise to the top of PriMagi.
