The spring 2021 anime TV adaptation of the Farewell, My Dear Cramer manga is getting its home video releases in Japan handled by DMM Pictures. The distributor previously set a four-volume release for the show that begins on August 25th, 2021. It’s on Blu-ray only where each volume will be priced at 7,500 yen each. With that coming up at the end of this month, the distributor has now canceled all the singles and is instead going for a box set release. That set is now scheduled for an October 27th, 2021 release priced at 36,000 yen.
With the TV series side figured out once again, DMM Pictures has now solicited for the feature film, First Touch, with it planned for an October 27th, 2021 debut. It’ll be priced at 8,000 yen when it arrives.

Plot Concept: With no soccer accomplishments to speak of during the entirety of Sumire Suo’s junior high school years, the young wing gets an odd offer. Suo’s main rival, Midori Soshizaki, invites her to join up on the same team in high school, with a promise that she’ll never let Suo “play alone.” It’s an earnest offer, but the question is whether Suo will take her up on it. Thus the curtain opens on a story that collects an enormous cast of individual soccer-playing personalities.
