‘Tondemo Senshi Muteking’ Anime Sets Premiere With New Promo

A sci-fi hero romantic comedy that you can audition for.

We learned back in 2019 that the Tondemo Senshi Muteking gag anime is getting a reboot with a planned 2020 debut as Tatsunoko and HoriPro International are working together on it. The pandemic threw a lot of things off, including this, but now a new update has landed for it. With the reveal of a new key visual and promotional video, an October 2nd, 2021 premiere date has been set for the show. Orange Range is handling the opening theme with “Labyrinth” while KALMA is handling the ending theme song with “Kibo no Uta.”

Hiroshi Sasagawa is on board as the executive director with Ryousuke Takahashi as the chief director while Yuuzou Satou is dirting based on the scripts by Yuji Kondou. Tatsunoko Pro and Tezuka Productions are handling the action animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Kenichi Suzumura as Owen

The original series ran back in 1980 for 56 episodes.
