‘Rusted Armors’ Anime Sets Premiere Season

2 min read
The project focuses on the relationship between the gun-toting Magoichi — who is the leader of the Saika Ikki mercenary group — and the Sengoku era warlord Oda Nobunaga.

Originating as a stage play, we learned back in the summer of 2019 that Rusted Armors is making the leap to the anime side with a project now announced as in the works. At the time, we learned that Taiki Sato will reprise his role of Magoichi for it from the stage play while Toshiki Masuda will do the same as Oda Nobunaga.

Now, the latest installment of Monthly Comic Gene magazine has landed that has revealed within that the series is set for a January 2022 premiere. No networks or services were listed with the announcement or new details regarding the project.

We previously had a look at the character of Magoichi with the design and then a new one landed with Oda Nobunaga’s design, who is being played Toshiki Masuda.

The stage plays began in 2017 with the second one launching at the time. A manga adaptation of the stage play ran previously from hagi and serialized by Monthly Comic Gene.

Property Concept: The project focuses on the relationship between the gun-toting Magoichi — who is the leader of the Saika Ikki mercenary group — and the Sengoku era warlord Oda Nobunaga.
