Back in 2019, the folks at Seven Seas Entertainment announced a new acquisition with the pickup in digital and print for the Skeleton Knight in Another World light novels and manga by Ennki Hakari, KeG, and Akira Sawano. That’s going to pay off later as the property has gotten the nod to be adapted into an anime TV series. While we don’t have a season for it yet, Crunchyroll has now announced their pickup of the property for streaming. We’ll know more on it once it has a season, date, and regional availability. The project has set Katsumi Ono to direct it based on the series composition by Takeshi Kikuchi. Toru Imanishi is on board for the character designs with Studio KAI and HORNETS handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:

- Nene Hieda as Ponta

Plot Concept: When Arc wakes up, he discovers that he has been transported to another world in the body of the character he was playing in an MMO. Looking like a suit of armor on the outside and a skeleton on the inside, he is the Skeleton Knight. If his identity is discovered, he could be mistaken for a monster and become a target! Arc decides to spend his time as a mercenary so as not to attract attention to himself. However, he’s not the kind of man who can stand idly by when he witnesses evil acts take place right before his eyes! This isekai fantasy series about the Skeleton Knight’s unintentional quest to make the world a better place has arrived!!
