‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Series Teases Directors

2 min read
The new show is on track for a December 2021 debut.

The stinger at the end of the second season finale of The Mandalorian revealed that The Book of Boba Fett would be coming in December 2021. Production for it has been pretty quiet – but let’s be fair, it was the same with The Mandalorian, and it looks like things are moving along quite well for it.

We knew previously that Temuera Morrison will return as Boba Fett but also confirmed that Ming-Na Wen is on board with Fennec Shand for it. Favreau, Filoni, and Robert Rodriguez are serving as executive producers.

Now, Morrison had an interview with Express where he revealed a few things that will delight those that pay close attention to how the shows are put together.

“We’ve got some great directors onboard,” said Morrison. “Robert Rodriguez, [Jon] Favreau, Bryce [Dallas Howard], and Dave Filoni.”

“Jon has come up with some magical formulas,” added Morrison. “I think we’re blessed in the way Favreau has all that Marvel experience, so we know where those storylines go. Let’s see what happens.”

Not surprisingly, there hasn’t been any talk of a second season yet and I’ll admit to liking some one-off series as Marvel Studios is doing so more things can be explored. “They’ll probably want to test the waters first, there’s been no talk about it,” noted Morrison when asked about a second season.

Plot Concept: Fett begins his consolidation of power on Tattooine.
