Details are light at the moment but the latest issue of Weekly Shounen Champion has landed and it has revealed that the Mo Ippon! manga from Yu Moraoka is getting an anime adaptation. It doesn’t specify the type but it’s the perfect TV base material and a new judo based show is something we’re long overdue.
Originally serialized in Weekly Shounen Champion magazine beginning in 2018, the series has thirteen volumes as of its July 2021 anime adaptation announcement.
Check out the official site and Twitter (TBA).
Plot Concept: After performing in their final middle school judo tournament, Michi and Sanae begin high school and walk in on Michi’s final opponent fighting to save their new high school’s judo club.
