24th ‘So I’m a Spider, So What?’ Anime Episode Delayed

The winter and spring 2021 anime adaptation of the So I’m a Spider, So What? property is underway after its January 8th, 2021 debut, and some new promotion is coming out for it. The official site has now dropped the news that the twenty-fourth episode, originally scheduled for a June 25th, 2021 debut, has now been delayed due to production issues. The announcement did not provide a new date or timeframe for when it’ll be released.

Crunchyroll announced their pickup of the series and announced their availability for it is set for North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East. Crunchyroll has listed this as one of the series where they plan to produce multiple dubs for it that will be streaming in the next couple of months. They intend to bring it out with English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German dubs.

The series has Shin Itagaki directing it with Shinichiro Ueda as the assistant director. They’re working on the scripts from Yuichi Momose that are being produced in collaboration with original author Okina Baba. Kii Tanaka is handling the character designs for it with Millepensee handling the production.

The Japanese cast includes Aoi Yuki, Shun Horie as Shun, Nao Tōyama as Katia, Kaito Ishikawa as Hugo, Yui Ogura as Sue, Eri Kitamura as Fei, Kaya Okuno as Filimøs, Aimi Tanaka as Yuri, and Junya Enoki as Julius.

It comes from the novels by Okina Baba and Tsukasa Kiryu. The manga adaptation is produced by Asahiro Kakashi.

The series features the opening theme song “keep weaving your spider way” by Riko Azuna and “Do Your Best! Kumoko-san’s Theme” by Aoi Yuki as the closing theme song.

Plot Concept:  I’m gonna survive, just watch me!

I was your average, everyday high-school girl, but now I’ve been reborn in a magical world…as a spider?! Wait–this isn’t how these stories are supposed to go! Can I get a do-over? …No? But how am I supposed to survive in this big, scary dungeon as one of the weakest monsters? It’s “every spider for herself” in here! I gotta figure out the rules to this QUICK, or I’ll have to kiss my short second life goodbye…
