‘Uramichi Oniisan’ Anime Debuts Iketeru Daga Character Promo

A new promo showcases just how much comical despair you can have.

An anime adaptation for the Uramichi Oniisan manga that was created by Gaku Kuze according got the green light back in October 2019 brought in some additional cast back in May 2020. The series was originally set for a late 2021 premiere but was delayed to a summer 2021 period. Now, with a July 5th, 2021 debut for the project set recently, the official site has updated with another character promo with this one focused on Iketeru Daga as played by Mamoru Miyano.

Nobuyoshi Nagayama is directing based on the scripts coming from Touko Machida. Mizuki Takahashi is handling the character design work while Studio Blanc is on board as the animation production company.

The announced Japanese cast for it will be those used in the promos for the manga previously and additional new actors that includes Hiroshi Kamiya as Uramichi Omota, Tomokazu Sugita as Tobikichi Usahara, Yūichi Nakamura as Mitsuo Kumagai, Mamoru Miyano as  Iketeru Daga, Nana Mizuki as Utano Tadano, Ryohei Kimura as Hanbee Kikaku, Kenichi Suzumura as Saito Uebu, Kensho Ono as Matahiko Nekota, Shinichiro Miki as Yusao Furode, Kenyuu Horiuchi as Tekito Derekida, Natsuki Hanae as Eddy Edei, Minami Takahashi as Kayo Ennoshita, Rina Satou as Ikuko Heame, Kazuya Nakai as Furitsuke Capellini, Kenjiro Tsuda as Amon, Yōko Hikasa as Mabui Daga, Sayuri Sadaoka as Sayuri, Ryohei Kimura as Hanbee Kikaku, Kenichi Suzumura as Saito Uebu, Daisuke Ono as Matahiko, and Nekotaand Houchu Ohtsuka as The Voice of God.

Plot Concept: The story focuses on a 31-year-old man named Uramichi Omota who has two sides to his personality. He appears as the young man in charge of physical exercises on the educational program “Maman to Together.” Although he has a fresh and upbeat demeanor on the show, he is actually a bit emotionally unstable. The manga reveals the less-than-sunny parts of life for young adults.
