A new TV anime adaptation was announced in August 2020 with Peach Boy Riverside getting a July 2021 slot. With the series now set for a formal July 1st, 2021 debut in Japan, Crunchyroll has announced their pickup of the series as part of their summer lineup. They’ll have details and regional availability in the coming weeks.
The anime adaptation will be directed by Shiguri Ueda based on the scripts supervised by Keiichiro Ochi. Satomi Kurita and Masato Katou are working on the character designs with Asahi Production working on the animation.

The story of a different incarnation of the famous Momotaro, it’s based on the manga by Coolkyoushinja and Johanne which began in 2015 as serialized in Shounen Magazine R and has eight volumes in print as of this month.
The series features the opening theme song “Dark spiral journey” by Q-MHz featuring Yuko Suzuhana while Mitei no Hanashi is performing the ending theme song “Yoru o Koeru Ashioto.”
