We learned back in May 2020 with the arrival of the fifth volume of Megami-ryo no Ryobo-kun that the series is getting an anime adaptation. We learned a bit ago that it’s set for the summer 2021 season in July and now the official site has updated with a July 14th, 2021 premiere date on the main broadcast networks and services. What we also learned is that the broadcast versions will be the edited one while the AT-X service will have the unedited on. Similarly, the dAnime Store will have the edited version at launch but a week later will start in on the unedited version, making it all just a pleasant mess. Other streaming services are set for a July 27th, 2021 debut in Japan.
Shunsuke Nakashige will be directing it based on the scripts supervised by Masashi Suzuki. Maiko Okada is on board with the character designs and animation production is being handled by asread.

Translating as Dorm Mother of the Goddess’ Dorm, the manga comes from Ikumi Hino which began serialization in Monthly shonen ace back in 2017 and has six volumes out as of January 2021.

Plot Concept: Nagumi Koushi is a 12-year-old boy who was abandoned by his broke father after their house caught on fire, leaving him to roam the streets penniless. Then one day, a girl named Minerva who finds him lying on the sidewalk takes him to a women’s college dormitory, one known for housing troublesome residents, and asks him to be their “Dormitory Mother.” Surrounded by older women and forced to deal with their idiosyncrasies, Koushi starts his new (somewhat ecchi) life!
