The winter 2020 anime adaptation of the mobile game Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story wrapped up at the end of March 2020 with its thirteenth episode and it concluded with some excellent news – a second season is in production. The end-of-episode announcement didn’t reveal when to expect the next season but having it in production is definitely welcome news.
Now, the official site (via AIR below) has confirmed that the second season is coming out THIS SUMMER in just a few weeks. Details will be coming soon but a new key visual was released to highlight the announcement. It’s presumed that the main staff and cast are all coming back for it.
The Japanese cast includes Momo Asakura as Iroha Tamaki, Sora Amamiya as Yachiyo Nanami, Shiina Natsukawa as Tsuruno Yui, Ayane Sakura as Felicia Mitsuki, Yui Ogura as Sana Futaba, Mikako Komatsu as Momoko Togame, Ayaka Ohashi as Kaede Akino, and Kaori Ishihara as Rena Minami.
The English cast includes Kira Buckland as Iroha Tamaki, Erika Harlacher as Yachiyo Nanami, Cassandra Morris as Small Kyubey, Erica Lindbeck as Momoko Togame, Brianna Knickerbocker as Kaede Akino, Erica Mendez as Rena Minami, and Faye Mata as Kuroe.
