The OVA series sets its streaming debut!

escha-chron-coverBack in 2017, we saw an OVA adaptation that’s based on the vocal drama Escha Chron, which has gone unlicensed since the two-episode piece arrived. Sentai Filmworks announced their acquisition of the OVA series earlier this week and now streaming service HIDIVE has confirmed at June 16th, 2021 debut for both episodes at 17:00 UTC for their members.

HIDIVE will be making the OVA available to audiences in the United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America.

Sentai Filmworks will release this one home video later.

The project had Seiji Mizushima serve as the general director for it with Hikaru Yamaguchi as the main director. They worked from the scripts by Tatsuya Takahashi and character designs by Satomi Watanabe. The series was animated by Lerche.

The leading roles have been cast with Chika Anzai as Escha and Kiyono Yasuno as Chron.

Plot concept: Escha and Chron are as different as night and day, but together they eke out a life in the colorless world of Terminal, a post-apocalyptic wasteland in the far-flung future. Their monochromatic lifestyle changes, however, when they arrive in the present-day Transit, where color and music abound. There they encounter new sights and sounds unlike anything they’ve seen before, and with each new experience, their home world of Terminal gradually begins to change.
