‘Remake Our Life!’ Anime Gets 2nd Promo, Sets Premiere Date

We learned in December 2019 that a new anime adaptation had gotten the green light with the light novel series Boku-tachi no Remake, aka Remake Our Life! The roll-out of information has come at a steady pace and with it part of the upcoming summer season, the official site has now hit its next round of reveals. That comes in the form of a two-minute promotional video and the reveal of a July 2nd, 2021 premiere on most of the main networks.

The series has Tomoki Kobayashi set to direct based on the series composition by Kionachi. Kousuke Kawamura is on board with the character designs with studio feel handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Masahiro Itō as Kyouya Hashiba
  • Aoi Koga as Aki Shino
  • Aimi as Nanako Kogure
  • Nao Tōyama as Eiko Kawasegawa
  • And Haruki Ishiya as Tsurayuki Rokuonji

The newly added cast includes:

  • Miyuki Sawashiro as Kanō
  • Hidenori Takahashi as Genkirō Hikawa
  • Atsushi Tamaru as Takashi Kiryū
  • Sae Ootsuka as Yurika Hiyama
  • Fukushi Ochiai as Mikio Sugimoto
  • Yoshiki Nakajima as Shō Kakihara
  • Hazuki Tanda as Miyoko Hashiba

Poppin’ Party is handling the opening theme song while Argonavis is on board dfor the ending theme song.

The series comes from writer Nachi Kio and artist Eretto which began in 2017 under Kadokawa. The series has eight volumes out so far.

Plot Concept: Hashiba Kyouya is a 28 year old game developer. With his company going bankrupt, and him losing his job, he returns to his hometown. Looking at the success of creators of his age, he finds himself regretting his life decisions as he lay distressed on his bed. But when he opens his eyes, he finds that he has travelled 10 years back to the time before he entered college.

Will he finally make things right? This is a story about a failed person who is given a second opportunity to follow his dreams.
