With The Irregular at Magic High School wrapping up its new at the end of 2020, we learned that it wasn’t over for this property in general. The official site has updated to reveal that the spinoff mang The Honor Student at Magic High School is getting a TV anime series that will debut in 2021. Now, the official site has updated to reveal a July 3rd, 2021 premiere for it and confirm the theme songs. The series features the opening theme with “101” by Sangatsu no Phantasia while the ending theme is “Double Standard” by Philosophy no Dance.
The series has Hideki Tachibana directing it based on the scripts by Tsuyoshi Tamai. Takashi Watanabe is serving as an assistant director while Ryosuke Yamamoto and Takao Sano are handling character design adaptation. Studio CONNECT is on board for the animation production.
The confirmed cast so far includes:
- Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba
- Sora Amamiya as Honoka Mitsui
- Yuiko Tatsumi as Shizuku Kitayama
The manga from Yu Mori began in 2012 and wrapped up in the summer of 2020 with eleven volumes published. Yen Press has the English language rights to the series and has published ten volumes so far.
