Funimation Reveals ‘Shadows House’ Anime Dub Cast & Premiere

We’ve been covering the anime adaptation of Shadows House since it was announced in October 2020 with a lot of cast additions, visuals, and teasers. Set with an April 10th, 2021 premiere date, the simulcast has been moving along nicely with Funimation handling it in several regions. Now, they’re digging into the simuldub side of things with the first episode set to go live today on the service. The show has Caitlin Glass as the ADR director with Shawn Gann serving as the assistant ADR director. Emily Neves and Jessica Cavanagh are the scriptwriters on it.

The English dub cast includes:

  • Dani Chambers as Emilico
  • Emi Lo as Kate
  • Jordan Dash Cruz as Shaun/John
  • Adam McArthur as Ricky/Patrick
  • Marisa Duran as Lou/Louise
  • Risa Mei as Rum/Shirley
  • Emily Fajardo as Mia/Sarah
  • Michelle Lee as Rosemary/Maryrose
  • Elizabeth Maxwell as Barbie/Barbara
  • Christopher Smith as Edward

Funimation previously announced their exclusive pickup of the series for the season with it on their site for viewers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom, and Ireland. AnimeLab will bring it out in Australia and New Zealand while Wakanim will bring it out in France, Germany, Russia, and Scandinavia.

Kazuki Ohashi is set to direct it based on the scripts by Toshiya Ono. Chizuko Kusakabe is on board with the character designs with CloverWorks handling the animation production.

The leads are cast with Akari Kito as Kate and Yu Sasahara as Emiriko starring with Ayane Sakura as Louise / Lou, Kodai Sakai as John / Shaun, Reiji Kawashima who will play Patrick/ Ricky, Shino Shimoji as Shirley / Ram, Wataru Hatano as Edward, Saori Ōnishi as Sarah/Mia, Mai Nakahara as Maryrose/Rosemary, and Rie Kugimiya as Barbie/Barbara.

The manga comes from creator team So-ma-to which began in 2018 in Weekly Young Jump and has six volumes to its name so far as of October 2020.

The ending theme song is “Nai Nai” by ReoNa.

Plot Concept: Set in a Western-style mansion on a cliff and centers the aristocratic, it focuses on the faceless Shadow family. They live together with lifelike doll attendants who serve as their faces. The story focuses on the daily lives of the house’s inhabitants and gradually reveals its mysteries.
