The world of Getter Robo is getting some new anime material coming with a storyline that hasn’t been adapted before with Getter Robo Arc. The late Ken Ishikawa’s unfinished manga is now scheduled for a July 4th, 2021 debut and that comes with the release of a new key visual and the latest promotional video for it.

The series has Jun Kawagoe directing it at Bee Media based on the series scripts by Tadashi Hayakawa. Kazuya Hoshi is working on the original designs with Hideyuki Motohashi adapting them for animation.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Yūma Uchida as Takuma Nagare
  • Arihiro Mukaino as Sho Kamui
  • Kazuhiro Sunseki as Baku Yamagishi
  • Naoya Uchida as Jin Hayato

Plot Concept: The manga’s story centers on the conflict against the Andromeda Country, the new enemy of humanity that seeks to destroy the source of the getter rays that has devastated its civilization. Hope rests on the titular Getter Robo Ark robot, but the appearance of another mysterious Getter Robot, piloted by the son of Ryoma Nagare, introduces another complication to the conflict.
