Aniplex USA Reveals ‘Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-‘ Anime Dub Trailer

The spring 2021 anime series Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song- is getting its a dubbed version that will stream on Funimation and things are coming together for that. Funimation yesterday confirmed that the first episode of the simuldub will premiere tomorrow on their service and that it’s produced by Aniplex USA and Bang Zoom! Entertainment. With that in mind, Aniplex USA has rolled out a full trailer featuring the voice cast for it that you can see below.

The cast for it so far includes:

  • Cristina Vee as Vivy
  • Max Mittelman as Matsumoto

Wendee Lee is serving as the ADR director while Kayli Mills is in charge of the English adaptation.

The project comes from Wit Studio with Tappei Nagatsuki of Re:Zero and other projects working as a scriptwriter alongside Eiji Umehara, both of whom created the story. Shinpei Ezaki is directing it while Yuichi Takahashi is adapting the original designs by loundraw for it.

The Japanese cast includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Vivy, Jun Fukuyama as Matsumoto, Rina Hidaka as Ophelia, Satomi Akesaka as Grace, and Yōko Hikasa as Estella.

Plot Concept: “The story of how I, Vivy, will destroy my AI self …”

An AI named Matsumoto appears before Vivy, the world’s first autonomous humanoid AI. Matsumoto’s mission is to rewrite history together with Vivy, in order to stop the war between AI and humans that will happen one century later.
