The winter 2018 anime series Yuru Camp, localized as Laid-Back Camp, was pretty popular and it spawned several other projects, including the second season that just wrapped up. We got confirmation last month that an anime feature film is being set for 2022 with the main staff returning for it and we got a concept visual release for it as well that you can see below.

But we don’t have to wait until 2022 to see more of this gang as the OVA for the second season has been scheduled! It’s set for a July 28th, 2021 debut where it’ll be called “Tabisuru Shima Rin” and a tweet containing four visuals from the film can be seen below as well.

Yoshiaki Kyougoku directed the TV anime seasons based on the series composition by Jin Tanaka and Mutsumi Itou. C-Station worked on the animation with character designs by Mutsumi Sasaki.

The Japanese cast includes Nao Touyama as Rin Shima, Yumiri Hanamori as Nadeshiko Kagamihara, Sayuri Hara as Chiaki Oogaki, Aki Toyosaki as Aoi Inuyama, Rie Takahashi as Ena Saitou, Marina Inoue as Sakura Kagamihara, and Akio Ootsuka as the narrator. New characters this season include Tomoyo Kurosawa as Ayano Toki.

Asaka performs the opening theme song “Seize the Day” while Eri Sasaki performs “Haru no Tonari” for the ending theme song.

The manga began in May 2015 in Japan while Yen Press has picked up the series for North American release beginning in 2018.

Plot Concept: The story revolves around the camping adventures of Rin and Nadeshiko who met each other to see Mt. Fuji.
