There are a large number of Fate/Grand Order projects in the works at any given time and one that we’re definitely following is the Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Part 1 feature film set that’s in the works. Due to the pandemic, the first film was moved from its original August 15th, 2020 debut to a December 5th, 2020 release. The resurgence of cases in Japan has several prefectures going into emergency states and that has now caused the second film, originally set for a May 8th, 2021 debut, to be pushed back a week. Honestly, if the cases keep going as they seem, I’d expect this to be delayed past the new May 15th, 2021 release date.
The first film is getting both DVD and Blu-ray editions that come with separate regular and limited editions each laid out thusly:
- BD LE: 8500yen + tax
- BD Reg: 5800yen + tax
- DVD LE: 7500yen + tax
- DVD Reg: 4800yen + tax
The limited-edition comes with a new box and original soundtrack along with a 48-page booklet focusing on the animation and a 52-page illustration art book. On disc extras for both regular and limited-editions include the trailers, promos, and TV spots. Check out the cover artwork below.
Signal.MD will be animating the first film with Kei Suezawa directing the first film and Kazuto Arai directing the second which has Production I.G. animating it. Ukyo Kodachi is writing the script for the first film and Kazuchika Kise and Nakaya Onsen are working on the character designs.
The cast includes Mamoru Miyano as Bedivere, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Ritsuka Fujimaru, Rie Takahashi as Mash Kyrielight, Maaya Sakamoto as Leonardo da Vinci, Ayako Kawasumi as Lion King, Takahiro Mizushima as Gawain, Miyuki Sawashiro as Mordred, Ryotaro Okiayu as Lancelot, Kouki Uchiyama as Tristan, Hiroki Yasumoto as Agravain, Takehito Koyasu as Ozymandias, Minami Tanaka as Nitocris, Mikako Komatsu as Xuanzang Sanzang, Satoshi Tsuruoka as Arash, Tetsu Inada as Hassan of the Cursed Arm, Sayaka Senbongi as Hassan of Serenity, and Kenichi Suzumura as Romani Archaman.
