Aniplex Japan Reschedules Remaining ‘Wonder Egg Priority’ Anime DVD/BD Releases

The winter 2021 anime adaptation of Wonder Egg Priority is getting its home video release handled by Aniplex Japan. The twelve-episode series is getting a three-volume release on both DVD and Blu-ray where both formats are limited editions. The DVD sets are 11,000 yen while the Blu-rays are at 13,000 yen. With the first set out last month and the second set up at the end of this month, the remaining two volumes have now been pushed back – a little in the case of the second and three months for the third volume. The series has Shin Wakabayashi directing it based on the original work and scripts by Shinji Nojima. Saki Takahashi is on board with the character designs and serving as the chief animation director.

The Japanese cast includes Kanata Aikawa as Ai Ohto, Tomori Kusunoki as Neiru Aonuma, Shuka Saitō as Rika Kawai, and Hinaki Yano as Momoe Sawaki.

Plot Concept: When a 14-year-old girl named Ai Ohto hears a mysterious voice while walking around town late at night, it gives her an egg, and beckons to her: “If you wish to change the future, you need only choose now. Now, believe in yourself, and smash the egg.”
