The beginning of this year saw the debut of the latest series in this franchise with The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgment. With that underway, the next project was announced with Kodansha revealing The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light. It’s scheduled for a summer 2021 debut on July 2nd, 2021 and will be an all-new story from the original manga creator, Nakaba Suzuki. It’s also set to take place after the series that has just dropped on Netflix.
Now, the official site has updated with a new trailer that gives us a taste of the theme song for the film as well. Check out the new poster for it beneath the trailer as well.
Previously, the official site revealed some of the guest cast that will be in the film with some famous faces that include:
- Akira Kawashima (Kirin comedy duo) as a demon serving the Ten Commandments member Zeldris
- Kana Kurashina as Elizabeth’s mother, and the Supreme Deity of the Goddess Clan
- Yūsuke Inoue (NON STYLE comedy duo) as a demon serving the Ten Commandments member Zeldris
The current TV season saw Susumu Nishiaawa directing it based on the scripts overseen by Rintarou Ikeda. Rie Nishino is handling the character designs while Studio DEEN is on board for the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Yuuki Kaji as Meliodas, Sora Amamiya as Elizabeth, Jun Fukuyama as King, Misaki Kuno as Hawk, and Mamoru Miyano as Gilthunder so far.
The manga is created by Nakaba Suzuki with forty-one volumes in print for its original run. The manga series began in 2012 and Kodansha Comics is bringing the series out for North American fans in print while Crunchyroll has the digital chapters being published on their site.

Finding them is no easy task and her journey takes her to a small tavern run by an unassuming, albeit perverted, barkeep, and his talking pig. But this man reveals himself to be Meliodas-the Dragon Sin of Wrath! Agreeing to help her, the two seek out the remaining sins.
