As we get further into the month, the folks at ICv2 have a more baseline look at what went down in the month of March 2021 when it came to graphic novels. For this month, there’s a good bit of variety thrown into the mix as DC and Batman books dominate – just not quite as much as usual. It’s no surprise to see the usual things here with what’s selling well, including the second volume of Batman: The Joker War. This month has DC dominating with fourteen titles, nine of which are Batman or Batman-related books in a big way.
This is also an odd month as the folks at ICv2 notes that “manga sales were so dominant that we don’t have a list of the top 20 Superhero graphic novels this month – just a top 18.”
Marvel Comics gets two slots on the chart and it’s… a little odd? The Uncanny X-Men omnibus isn’t too much of a surprise and its high price tag has it making money. We also get the somewhat evergreen Infinity Gauntlet book arriving. But the WandaVision material fell off quickly and no push on Winter Soldier or Falcon books.
