The summer 2019 anime series Ensemble Stars! saw its home video releases in North America by Funimation in 2020 as well as the Australian release through Madman Entertainment. Both distributors did a solid job with them and included things like art cards packed in as well.
Though the property came out in anime form in 2019, it’s a few years older than that with its origins in the game from Happy Elements. And to celebrate the fifth-anniversary of it, they’ve hired the anime team to put together a nearly five-minute music video that brings all of those characters back for a little more fun – and some of the cast from the game that didn’t make it into the anime.

The show has Masakazu Hishida, who has worked extensively on the King of Prism franchise, as the chief director. Yasufumi Soejima serves as the series director working from the scripts by Shinichi Inotsume. With Happy Elements handling the animation production, Tomoyuki Shitaya and Eri Nagata are handling the character design adaptations.

Plot concept: Yumenosaki Private Academy, a school located on a hill facing the ocean. Specializing in boys’ idol training, the school has a long history of producing generations of idols for the entertainment world out of the young men overbrimming with talents, like the shining stars in the sky. Due to “special circumstances,” you are a transfer student at the school, as well as the only female student there. In fact, you are chosen to be the very first student of the “producer course,” and your task is to produce these idols… We hope you will enjoy your journey with the idols you meet at the academy, as well as the vigorous ensemble that together you will make.
