A new 60s spy series to sink your teeth into.

The folks at AMC continue to look for ways to maximize their revenues and the split approach with streaming seems to be working. The network has picked up the new six-part series Spy City with plans for it to debut on AMC+ on April 15th, 2021 with a regular broadcast coming later this year. They’re currently doing the same with the second season of A Discovery of Witches where it all streamed over a few months and is waiting on a broadcast debut. The show had a premium debut in Germany last December.

This new series comes from Odeon Fiction and Miramax based on the story by William Boyd and starring Dominic Cooper of Preacher and Captain America: The First Avenger fame. Additional cast includes Romane Portail, Johanna Wokalek, Ben Münchow, Seumas F. Sargent, and Leonie Benesch.

Plot Concept: The series stars Dominic Cooper (Preacher) in the lead role of Fielding Scott, an English spy who is sent to Berlin in 1961 to sift out a traitor in the UK Embassy or among the Allies, shortly before the construction of the Berlin Wall.
