Hulu Sets ‘Overlord’ Anime Expiration

2 min read
Only a bit more time left!

The Overlord series has been around for a good bit of time now but it looks like some of its distribution may soon be going away. The series is now listed as getting ready to expire on Hulu if it’s in your queue and that usually means about 12-14 days depending. The notification is, however, unclear if it’s just the first season or all of the seasons since these things have been added in a staggered way over the years since the original simulcast. Suffice to say, if you’re watching on this service, you may want to wrap it up soon.

Check out our review of the first season.

The series comes from author Kugane Maruyama with illustrations by so-bin that’s published by Enterbrain. It began in the summer of 2012 and released its fourteen volumes so far, which are released by Yen Press domestically along with the manga adaptation. The series has had two drama CDs released with previous volumes and the three seasons of the anime.

The series will star Kenta Miyake as Cocytus, Manami Numakura as Narberal Gamma, Masayuki Katou as Demiurge, Shigeru Chiba as Sebas Tian and Yumi Uchiyama as Mare Bello Fiore.

Plot Concept: The series follows a salaryman who remains online when the service for an MMORPG ends. In doing so, he becomes a powerful skeletal wizard. In his new form, he begins attracting followers and conquering the digital world that remains.
