Kaze Sets German ‘Blackfox’ Feature Film Anime DVD/BD Releases

We learned back at AnimeJapan 2018 that Studio 3Hz revealed had an original anime project they had with Blackfox. The film saw an October 2019 theatrical release which Crunchyroll brought out for streaming to a number of territories around the world.

Now, Kaze’s German subsidiary has set up plans for their home video release of the film on separate DVD and Blu-ray editions priced at € 24.95 and € 29.95 respectively. They have a July 15th, 2021 debut that includes the Japanese and German dubs and the trailer below shows off the German dub for the first time streaming. No extras are currently solicited with either format.

Kazuya Nomura is directing the work with Naoki Hayashi handling the scripts. Atsushi Saito is listed as the character designer.

The Japanese cast includes Ayaka Nanase as Rikka Isurugi, Haruka Tomatsu as Mia, Yō Taichi as Melissa, Hiroshi Tsuchida as Allen, Eizou Tsuda as Hyōei, Keiji Fujiwara as Oboro, Aki Toyosaki as Madara, Kousuke Toriumi as Kasumi, Nobuo Tobita as Lauren, Hiroki Touchi as Bred, and Rikiya Koyama as Harold.

Carrying on with her life normally, Rikka’s home came suddenly under attack one day. Driven into a corner, what would she do to overcome this crisis?
