Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko revealed back in November 2019 that another of their light novels lined up for an anime adaptation with Super Cub. With the series set for an April 7th, 2021 debut, the Japanese social media side has dropped a new key visual you can see below that has the girls getting out for some tasty treats that’s a great way to wrap up promotion just ahead of its debut.
The series will stream on Funimation in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom, and Ireland. AnimeLab will bring it out in Australia and New Zealand while Wakanim will bring it out in France, Russia, and Scandinavia.
The adaptation has Toshiro Fujii on board to direct based on the scripts from Toshizo Nemoto. Toru Imanishi is working on the character designs with Studio Kai production the animation.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Yuki Yomichi as Koguma
- Ayaka Nanase as Reiko
- Natsumi Hioka as Shii Eniwa
Akane Kumada will perform the opening theme song with “Maho no Kaze” while the main cast will perform the ending theme song in character with “Haru e no Dengon.”
The series comes from writer Tone Koken and artist Hiro which began in 2017 and has six volumes out by the end of 2019. A manga is also out there from Kanitan that’s up to three volumes.

Plot Concept: With a focus on Yamanashi high school girl Koguma, she has no parents, friends, or hobbies, and her daily life is empty. One day, Koguma gets a used Honda Super Cub motorcycle. This is her first time going to school on a motorcycle. Running out of gas and hitting detours become a small source of adventure in Koguma’s life. She is satisfied with this strange transformation, but her classmate Reiko ends up talking to her about how she also goes to school by motorcycle. One Super Cub begins to open up a lonely girl’s world, introducing her to a new everyday life and friendship.
