Madman Schedules 1st ‘Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle’ Anime Blu-ray Collection

In the year AP 238, the space fleet named Oracle continues its exploration through one galaxy after another.

Madman Entertainment is getting on with a new release this summer as the Australian distributor has revealed plans for the first part of Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle. The set will cover the first twelve episodes of the season with a July 7th, 2021 release date priced at $64.95. It’s a subtitled-only release as no dub has been produced in North America. It’ll include the clean versions of the opening and closing sequences as extras.

The series is directed by Masaki Tachibana based on the series composition by Hiroshi Ohnogi. Shinpei Koikawa is handling the character designs while GONZO is handling the animation production with Felix Film working on the 3DCG.

The Japanese cast includes Daisuke Ono as Ash, Hiro Shimono as Afin, Satomi Satou as Matoi, Megumi Ogata as Xion, Ryohei Kimura as Zeno, Yōko Hikasa as Echo, Takahiro Sakurai as Luther, Nobuo Tobita as Gettemhart, and Kana Hanazawa as Melphonshina.

Aimee Blackschleger will perform the opening song “Destiny” while the ending theme song “Timeless Fortune” is performed by Mika Arisaka.

Plot Concept: With the advent of Photon technology, the spacefaring Oracle fleet searches for new planets to explore. They combat the Falspawn, abominations that consume all life in their path, with the fearless heroes of the ARKS organization. When his graduation ceremony is crashed by a Falspawn attack, young Cadet Ash realizes that he’s just been thrust in the middle of a universal-scale conflict.
