“Corporate Overlords” Takes on a Whole New Meaning With Seven Seas Release of THE DUNGEON OF BLACK COMPANY Manga Series

Dungeon of Black Company CoverWe learned back in July 2020 about a new anime adaptation coming that was timed nicely with Seven Seas Entertainment picking up the manga with The Dungeon of Black Company. The series is scheduled for a July 2021 debut and now the official site has rolled out a new promo, a new key visual, and two more cast additions for the project.

The show is directed by Mirai Minato based on the series scripts from Deko Akao. Yuki Sawairi is on board with the character designs and Silver Link handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Katsuyuki Konishi as Kinji Ninomiya
  • Misaki Kuno as as Rim
  • Hiro Shimono as Wanibe

The newly added cast includes:

  • Satomi Satou as Belza
  • Wataru Takagi as Boss Goblin

The manga from Youhei Yasumura, the artist of the Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon manga, Seven Seas picked it up in 2017 but it’s been running since 2016 through the Mag Comi site.

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Plot Concept: Kinji, who lacks any kind of work ethic, is a layabout in his modern life. One day, he finds himself transported to another world–but not in a grand fantasy of a hero welcomed with open arms. He’s immediately shoved into a terrible job! Now enslaved by an evil mining company in a fantasy world, Kinji’s about to really learn the meaning of hard work!
