In what is a perfect comic book style approach to the problem, Batwoman has recast Kate Kane. Originally played by Ruby Rose in the first season, she departed the project at the end of the season and the second season saw the character disappear in a plane crash. That allowed Javicia Leslie to take on the cape and cowl and help the people of Gotham in her own way.

Now, however, it’s been revealed that Wallis Day of Krypton is taking on the Kate Kane role and its pitch-perfect comic book material. As revealed in the episode over the weekend, she ended up suffering from significant injuries at the start of the season and was revealed as bandaged and held hostage. So a little cosmetic surgery and a new approach to life after going through such a situation will allow Wallis Day to put her own spin on the character as time goes on.

The series airs on The CW with streaming the day after through their site and app.

The main cast includes Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder / Batwoman, Rachel Skarsten as Beth Kane / Alice, Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore, Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox, and Dougray Scott as Jacob Kane.

Plot Concept: Three years after billionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne and his vigilante alter-ego Batman disappeared, his cousin Kate Kane sets out to overcome her demons and become a symbol of hope by protecting the streets of Gotham City as Batwoman.
