We learned back in November 2020 about the reveal of the SD Gundam World Heroes as part of the continuing franchise. The series is slated for a worldwide debut as part of the spring 2021 season in April and now some new details have arrived. This show picks up where SD Gundam World Sangoku Sōketsuden left off and is now set for an April 8th, 2021 debut with the release of a new promotional video. It’ll be streamed through the official channel on YouTube but will get a broadcast run a few days later on BS11 and Tokyo MX.
Coming from inspiration by the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel, it’s part of the 40th-anniversary celebration for the Gundam property.
The series is directed by Takahiro Ikezoe based on the scripts by Touko Machida.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Aki Kanada as Gokū Impulse Gundam
- Gakuto Kajiwara as Liu Bei Unicorn Gundam
- Maxwell Powers as Sergeant Verde Buster Gundam
- Naomi Kusumi as Benjamin V2 Gundam
- Ryota Takeuchi as Nobunaga Gundam Epyon
- Anri Katsu as Edward Second V
- Katsuyuki Miura as Sasuke Delta Gundam
Plot Concept: Nations once full of pride and glory are now in ruins after suffering great wars repeated over and over again, and it is an age in which the great land is covered in mountains of wreckage. Finally, just as the signs of restoration begin to be seen, a mysterious virus called the “Yellow Zombie Virus” has been spreading across the land for the past several years, and the infected, who lose their self of self, start attacking Mobile Suits one after the next.
In order to protect themselves from the infected coming to attack them, the remaining Mobile Suits are forced to live inside city strongholds. However, behind the fortifications, after the death of the former lord, the lord Dong Zhuo is as domineering as can be.
