It’s going to be a difficult task following up on last week’s thrilling episode. But life moves along. Miyamura’s backstory has been one of sorrow. He was just hanging on by a thread. He didnt get to have a chance to experience the wonderful time in elementary and early middle school. But life gets better. He meets all sorts of people that accept him for who he is. It was a delightful sight to watch him talk to his younger time and reassures him that life is worth living.

Remi got off to a horrible start with her first introduction with Hori and Miyamura. But if you peel beyond the outer layer, her inner layer is a kindred spirit. She has been the backbone for Sakura when Sakura faces mental issues regarding her body image. She has also been a great influence on Sengoku. She started as a ditzy girl who didnt seems to pay attention to the world around her. But it isn’t completely true as she been a vital role in Sengoku and Sakura’s lives. It’s a bit shocking that she meets Sengoku over a love of books. It’s just so out of character for a person like Remi to be an avid reader.

Hori’s image as the nice, friendly, peaceful girl has completely gone down the drain. How can a character change so quickly in one episode? Miyamura puts his feet on Hori and one outburst brought out a dangerous new side to Hori. Her new fantasy is that Miyamure will physically and emotionally abuse her. What should have been an adorable romance has taken an unsettling sudden turn. But this new aspect to her is a mixed welcome change to her. She’s been forced to her persona as being the all-purpose home cleaner. There needed to be more than meets the eye to her. This aspect isn’t the best thing to fill that spot but at least it will be intriguing. There was one scene where Hori and Miyamura are at school. Miyamura gives in to Hori’s wildest dreams and puts on a mean face. Two girls walk into the room and happen to witness this. They are scared out of their minds like any sane person would be. But Hori has the biggest smile on her face.

Yoshikawa has been struggling to find her new role in the changing dynamics of the group. She’s also awakened to the hidden feelings that she wants to be in a relationship. Out of all the characters, she seems to be the most innocent and clueless to the workings of a relationship. It provides a chance to see a relationship from before step 1. Miyamura and Hori’s romance was great but it felt like they were several steps ahead of the curve and the same can be said for Remi and Sengoku’s relationship. She has to figure out how she wants to navigate this new realm. Yoshikawa has a repressed crush on Ishikawa but is she going to stick with this familiar route or will she go towards the unknown with Akane who is a walking disaster. His eyesight is so bad that he will crash into a wall that is five feet away. But he is so gorgeous and has the admiration, partially because of the hilarious outcomes of his bad eyesight. Ishikawa trembles in fear of how gorgeous he is and Hori and Moriyama are left speechless at his sight.

In Summary
Romances in high school are bittersweet but Horimiya puts a gratifying spin on those moments. Miyamura and Hori get a minor break from being the stars to let their supporting squad get a chance to shine. It felt about the right time to focus on the romantic relationships of other characters. Miyamura and Remi’s life become brighter as their lives entwined with Hori and Sengoku. Even Yoshikawa is starting to gleam as she meets two potential suitors for her heart. The only one I cant speak about positively is Hori. Hori wants Miyamura to all sorts of horrible deeds to her. She salivates the prospect that Miyamura will treat her horribly. There could be worse things in a relationship but this one is off to a twisted path.
