The winter 2020 anime adaptation based on the light novel series of the same name with Itai no wa Iya nano de Bōgyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu, which translates to All points are divided to VIT because a painful one isn’t liked, came out as BOFURI. The series is getting some new distribution as German producer AniMoon Publishing has set a February 26th, 2021 debut for their release of it. With the first set out today, they’ve added their fifth dubbing clip where it has its main focus on the characters of Dread and Drag as played by Arne Obermeyer and Markus Haase.

The set is being done as separate DVD and Blu-ray editions that will have three volumes overall with four episodes per volume. Check out our latest listen to it in German below!

Shin Oonuma is directing with Mirai Minato based on the series composition by Fumihiko Shimo. Kazuya Hirata is handling the character designs with Silver Link working on the animation production.

The German cast for the show includes Amira Leisner as Sally, Lisa Dzyadyk as Maple, Corinna Dörenkamp as Iz, Jennifer Weiß as Frederica, Markus Haase as Drag, and Michael Borgard as Chrome.

The original work from Yuumikan began in 2016 and has seven volumes in print out as of this month. A manga spinoff was launched in the spring of 2018 in Comp Ace by Jiro Oimoto.

The series features the opening sequence with the song “Kyuukoku Unbalance” by Afilia Saga as well as the closing song with “Play the World” by Riko Sasaki.

Plot Concept: The series focuses on Kaede Honjō, who is invited by her friend Risa Shiramine to play a virtual reality MMO game with her. While Kaede doesn’t dislike games, what she really, truly dislikes is being in pain. She creates a character named Maple, and decides to put all her points in VIT to minimize pain. As a result, she moves slowly, can’t use magic, and even a rabbit can get the best of her. But as it turns out, she acquires a skill known as “Absolute Defense” as a result of her pumping points into VIT, as well as a “Counter Skill” that works against special moves. Now, with her ability to nullify all damage, she goes on adventures.
