The fall 2018 anime adaptation of Kumo Kagyu’s property Goblin Slayer is getting its home video releases handled by Sony and they’ve set a tight schedule for it. Previously, the twelve-episode series saw a three-volume release that began on February 20th, 2019. Both formats are listed as limited editions with the DVDs priced at 11,000 yen and the Blu-rays priced at 13,000 yen. Now, a complete box set is being produced that will save fans some money and space as it’s scheduled for an April 28th, 2021 debut. Priced at 22,000 yen, it looks to have the same extras as the original releases as it’s a three-disc set.
The series is directed by Takaharu Ozaki based on the series composition by Hideyuki Kurata. Takashi Nagayoshi is handling the character designs while White Fox is working the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Yuichiro Umehara as Goblin Slayer, Yui Ogura as Priestess, Nao Tōyama as High Elf Archer, Yuka Iguchi as Cow Girl, Maaya Uchida as Guild Girl, Yūichi Nakamura as Dwarf Shaman, Tomokazu Sugita as Lizard Priest, Yōko Hikasa as Witch, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Spearman.
The light novels from Kumo Kagyu began in 2016 with seven volumes out as of March 2018. A manga adaptation by Kosuke Kurose began in 2016 as well with Yen Press releasing both of them in North America.
