While Discotek Media has brought out the 2001 anime series Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier as an SDBD release, the 51-episode series is now getting some new streaming options. The series is available on Crunchyroll now in its complete run in its original Japanese language with English subtitles here, making for a great weekend binge. The series is open to viewers in the US and Canada where Discotek Media has the rights to it.
The show was a more modern attempt at bringing Osamu Tezuka’s manga to life after the original series in the 1960s.
The show has some pretty twisty paths to being licensed that are worth checking out here.
