“Welcome! The Healing Garden”

What They Say:
The secret world “Healing Garden” has been healing the Earth. One day, Villains called “Byogens” attack Healing Garden with the goal to destroy Earth, which is now in big trouble! In order to save Earth, three “Earth doctor trainee” Healing Animals escape from Healing Garden to look for their partners. Along with them is Latte, the princess of Healing Garden, who holds a special power. When three ordinary girls meet the Healing Animals, they are transformed into Pretty Cures in order to face and defeat the Byogens.

It’s a special day today. Nodoka, Chiyu, and Hinata are going to visit the Healing Garden! This the first time they’ve been reunited with their Healing Animals in a while. Naturally, they’re excited! I don’t think they were expecting to be hurled through the sky to get there though. It’s going to be a rough landing! Actually, it’s not. The Healing Animals wouldn’t do that to them! It’s just a little prank. The group heads towards the Healing Palace where Lady Teateine is. They run into Asumi and Latte on the way. Everyone is happy to see each other again! Also, Latte has gotten better at talking! She knows how to say everyone’s name perfectly. Well, except for Rabirin’s. Latte calls her Suama, haha.

The girls eventually reach Lady Teateine. She seems to be doing well. Also, they brought her gifts! In a hilarious twist, they each brought her a ton of Sukoyaka sweet buns. That’s a lot of buns! Asumi and Rabirin should be happy though. It’s their favorite! Still, this is way too many sweet buns for Lady Teateine. She decides to share them with the rest of the Healing Animals. The girls get a tour of the Healing Garden and meet the adult Healing Animals. They thank the girls for helping to save the world. All in a day’s work for the Precure! Who’s hungry? They pass out the sweet buns which turn out to be a hit in the Healing Garden. Even the little Healing Animals love them. The girls can’t help but admire their cuteness. They were pretty adorable.

The girls notice a part of the Healing Garden that’s still undermined. That’s when they meet a cranky monkey named Saruro. He doesn’t like humans very much. He compares them to the byo-gens. They both destroy nature and eat animals to survive. Well, he’s not wrong. In Saruro’s opinion, the Healing Animals should also purify the humans. That seems a bit harsh. Regardless, this causes the mood to sour. The girls can’t help but think of all the terrible things that humans do. Maybe they should be purified. The Healing Animals don’t want that! This is starting to get a bit depressing. And it only gets worse when six Mega Byo-gens appear in the Healing Garden! How did they get in here!?

Precure, assemble! After transforming, Cure Earth gets taken down immediately. She should be able to handle these Mega Byo-gens with ease! What’s the deal!? Well, she can’t bring herself to attack Sukoyaka sweet buns. She loves them too much! She even starts crying! I have no words, haha. Grumpy Saruro shows up and says that a Nano Byo-gen probably attached itself to the sweet buns. All of this is the Precure’s fault. They can’t deny that. Give them a break! They didn’t do it intentionally. The Precure are doing too hot as they get smacked around by the Mega Byo-gens. Out of nowhere, Latte summons Cure Summer from Tropical Rouge Precure! Okay!? I suppose having an extra Precure to help fight isn’t a bad thing. Although, their situation hasn’t improved. Cure Earth still can’t bring herself to attack the sweet buns. Latte decides to cover her face. If she can’t see, then she can’t see herself attacking the sweet buns. Sure, whatever works. In the end, the Precure manage to purify the Mega Byo-gens with the Final Healin’ Good Shower. Healin’ goodbye!

The girls say goodbye to Cure Summer as she’s whisked away to her own series. Don’t worry, you’ll see her again in Tropical Rouge Precure that will be airing very soon! It’s time for the girls to go back home. They promise they’ll find a way to heal the Earth their own way. That’s all they can really do. And that’s the end of Healin’ Good Precure!

In Summary:
Even though the Precure defeated the Byo-gens, their work isn’t done. The planet still needs to be healed. I’m sure the girls will continue to fight the good fight, even if it’s not as Precure. Basically, the lesson here is that it’s up to us to save our own planet. Overall, I thought that Healin’ Good Precure was a decent show. Not the best Precure series, but not the worst. There were a few good episodes (Nodoka refusing to sacrifice herself, the volleyball shenanigans, the first couple of Asumi appearances) here and there but nothing too amazing. It was no Star Twinkle Precure, that’s for sure. Still, it was charming in its own way. I did love all of the funny faces, especially Hinata’s. The baton has now been passed to Tropical Rouge Precure. Who’s ready for the new series!? Anyway, that’s a wrap y’all. Until next time. Healin’ goodbye!
