The anime adaptation of the manga That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime from Fuse and Mitz Vah got underway in Japan with its October 1st, 2018 premiere and we learned not long after that more was coming. With some OADs having been produced and coming out, a second season was set for October 2020 while the back half will show up in April 2021. That, sadly, is being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the show has now moved to a January 2021 debut for the first cour and July 2021 for the second cour. Additionally, The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime was bumped as well from its January 2021 date to April 2021.

With it getting closer to April, the official site has updated with some details on it in regards to the theme song side of it. A new key visual has dropped that shows off more of the silliness and we also got an April 6th, 2021 premiere date set for it. A new promo was also released but it looks to be a part of a streaming event and is locked to Japan and no Twitter version was released. The version below may be deleted/removed at any time.

The Slime Diaries will be directed by Yyuji Ikuhara based on the series composition by Kotatsumikan. With 8 Bit handling the production, it features character designs by Atsushi Irie and Risa Takai.

Crunchyroll will be streaming it to their viewers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East.
