A new anime adaptation is being lined up for the April 2021 period with the Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Come being listed as coming. The announcement of the anime, which loosely translates as A Romantic Comedy Where the Childhood Friend Absolutely Will Not Lose, has now updated on the theme song performer side of things. The show will feature Riko Azuna performing the opening theme song “Chance! & Revenge!” while Inori Minase and Ayane Sakura will handle the ending theme song with “Senryakuteki de Yosō Funō na Love Comedy no Ending Tema Kyoku.”
The series is directed by Takashi Naoya based on the series scripts by Yoriko Tomita. Naoya is also handling the character designs with Doga Kobo handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Sueharu Maru
- Inori Minase as Kuroha Shida
- Ayane Sakura as Shirokusa Kachi
- Saori Ōnishi as Maria Momosaka
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Kai Tetsuhiko
The light novel series comes from creator Shuichi Nimaru which began in 2019 with illustrations by Ui Shigure. It has six volumes so far and a manga adaptation by Ryo Ito has been running since November 2019 and has two volumes out as of February 2021.

Plot Concept: The story focuses on Sueharu Maru, an average 17-year-old high school boy who has never had a girlfriend, and the “heroine battle” between his beautiful first crush Shirokusa Kachi and his childhood friend Kuroha Shida.
