‘Fruits Basket the Final’ Anime Gets Recap & Sneak Peek PRomo

With the second season of the second Fruits Basket series having wrapped up and the third season was previously scheduled for a spring 2021 debut where it’ll be called Fruits Basket the Final as it brings things to a conclusion as it adapts the manga faithfully. Now, with the series set to get rolling again in a couple of months, The Japanese side has dropped a new recap of the previous work and a sneak peek of what’s to come. Funimation has brought out the same video alongside the Japanese release but with English subtitles. If you’re looking for just the new material, it starts around 5:50 into it.

The new series has Yoshihide Ibata directing based on the series composition by Taku Kishimoto. Masaru Shindo is handling the character designs with TMS Entertainment handling the production.

The Japanese cast includes Manaka Iwami as Tohru Honda, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Yuki Sohma, Yūma Uchida as Kyo Sohma, Yūichi Nakamura as Shigure Sohma, Atsumi Tanezaki as Arisa Uotani, Satomi Satou as Saki Hanajima, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Hatori Sōma, Maaya Sakamoto as Akito Sohma, Takahiro Sakurai as Ayame Sōma, and Miyuki Sawashiro as Kyoko Honda.

The English cast includes Laura Bailey as Tohru Honda, Eric Vale as Yuki Soma, Jerry Jewel as Kyo Soma, John Burgmeier as Shigura Soma, Tia Ballard as Kagura Soma, Mikaela Krantz as Momiji Krantz, Justin Cook as Hatsuharu Soma, Kent Williams as Hatori Soma, Elizabeth Maxwell as Arisa Uotani, Colleen Clinkenbeard has come on as Akito Soma, Christopher R. Sabat as Ayame Soma, and Jad Saxton as Saki Hanajima

AmPm ft Miyuna will perform “Prism” as the opening theme song while THE CHARM PARK will handling the ending with “ad meliora” as the theme song.

Funimation has released the original series on DVD in North America and Yen Press is releasing the manga.

Plot concept: When a member of the Sohma family is embraced by a person of the opposite gender, they transform into an animal of the Chinese Zodiac! A young girl stumbles upon their hidden secret and life at the Sohma house changes forever! Young Tohru Honda must promise the secret will remain her own… or face the consequences!
