Originally serialized in Comic Kairakuten BEAST from the February 2021 installment, My Surefire Sales Technique is a ten-page story from creator Bareisho, who has just about eleven other works on the service. I had stumbled upon this chapter while looking for something new to check out as none of my regulars had updated for a bit and I liked the splash page to get a feel for the designs. And office-lady stuff always hits a sweet spot since it’s older characters and more varied costuming. Plus, sometimes you just want a short story to dig into and enjoy.

The premise here is one that certainly feels a little confusing when you start with the basics of it as we’re introduced to Takeda, a young and hungry salesman. He’s come to sell some special tare sauce to the company and is meeting with Toudou for it. She’s giving him her complete attention and all the dialogue up until near the end is focused on the actual business deal itself, with him talking about the sauce and then negotiating over how many crates per store that they want to get out there. But once past the first page, they’re both in various stages of undress and sexual playfulness.

It’s an amusing situation since the dialogue doesn’t largely match, though the intent does in its own way, and it makes for some laughs while it unfolds. But Bareisho puts together some really appealing moments with the two of them as Toudou’s design looks great and there’s a good bit of enjoyment on both their part, first with the product and then focusing on its “application” with Toudou. It’s not the most exciting thing in terms of story but there’s a certain kind of happiness that comes from the two as they go through the standard positions over the eight or so pages of actual hentai material. Bareisho’s artwork definitely sells it here and the outfits, which are pretty standard fare, look great in what they add to the moment.

In Summary
Bareisho has fun with this story and the disparity between what’s said and what’s going on is certainly fun to watch unfold. There’s not much in the way of character material to sink your teeth into but the hentai side of it definitely works well for a quick short hit of hentai fun. It’s not going to be memorable but it’s fun in th emoment.
