Seven Seas Adds ‘Loner Life in Another World’ Light Novel Acquisition

1 min read
A sarcastic isekai comedy about surviving in a fantasy world with only the weirdest magic powers.

Seven Seas Entertainment, through its Airship light novel imprint, has announced a new license acquisition with the pickup of the light novel series Loner Life in Another World. The series comes from Shoji Goji and booota, the novels began in 2016 and has six volumes released to date and is listed as ongoing in Japan.

Seven Seas will publish the series for the first time in North America in print and (early) on digital platforms in single volume editions. The first volume will be released in print in August 2021 for $13.99 USA / $17.99 CAN as part of Seven Seas’ Airship imprint.

Plot Concept: When acerbic loner Haruka gets transported to another world with his class, he’s not big on adventuring, but he wouldn’t mind some cool magic of his own. Unfortunately, the magic powers are first-come-first-served, and by Haruka’s turn, there’s nothing good left to choose from. Now he’ll have to take on this fantasy world the hard way, with a hodgepodge selection of bizarre skills…and with all the girls in class tagging along!
