With this episode, we get to see some morning routine kind of things going on here with how Mokoku gets the day going for those that work the shop. It’s cute seeing Kurtz getting abused, of course, and how Narden runs things competently, but we also get Flareika causing problems by not wearing clothes a lot of the time while trying on various outfits to show off. The busy day as orchestrated by Mokoku is cute since we also see how they work the night shift since they’re night owls and basically mess with the whole audience thing by being a tech genius.
Mokoku doesn’t do a thing for me in this show after a couple of decent episodes where the cast felt like they were starting to click a bit. I get the character of Mokoku but in a show like this it doesn’t fit in all that well and they spend a lot of time with gags that don’t land for the most part, though I enjoyed its travels in search of items to use for armor. The semi-interview aspect of it all didn’t do much for me either and I just wanted more time with the core cast in the shop.
