Pretty dope songs

Discotek Media picked up the rights to the Sorcerer Hunters TV series back in the spring and while they’ve got their plans for that release they’re also doing some streaming with it. They’ve now brought the series to the RetroCrush streaming service where it’s available in its original Japanese language as well as the English language dub. Availability is limited to the US and Canada which is where Discotek licensed it for but also because this older series has had its license split over the years with a number of other distributors around the world.

With the series available, RetroCrush is rolling out some clip material to highlight the series that many haven’t seen before. But they’re also thankfully bringing out the theme song music which is an utter delight and brings back the nostalgia and rose-colored memories. The opening song is “What’s up Guys” by Megumi Hayashibara and Shinnosuke Furumoto while the closing theme song is “Mask” by Masami Okui.

Check out our review of the series.

Plot Concept: The Sorcerer Hunters are five extraordinary humans charged by the powerful entity Big Momma with the task of traveling the land in secrecy and hunting down evil Sorcerers who use powerful and forbidden magic to enslave the helpless masses. Sounds good, until you meet them! This band of misfits make up the most unlikely band of heroes you’re ever going to see. Infused with comedy and loaded with action, Sorcerer Hunters is a sprawling epic recommended for anyone who likes a little slapstick with their sword and sorcery.
