2 min read

Another light novel series is on track for an anime adaptation with the announcement of Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei~, which translates as The Fruit of Evolution ~Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made~. The original light novels from Miku saw their origins online in 2014 and began print versions later that year through Monster Bunko with artwork by U35. The series will publish its 12th novel in February 2021.

The anime adaptation didn’t reveal anything in regards to staff, cast, season, or distribution for the project.

Check out the official site and Twitter (TBA).

Plot Concept: Seiichi Hiiragi is at the bottom of his school’s social pecking order and he and his entire school are upended when everyone in the school is transported into another world. Seiichi finds himself alone and approached by a gorilla, who instead of attacking him, instead proposes to him. At the moment that Seiichi thinks that “I guess a gorilla is fine too,” they find the Fruit of Evolution, and when they eat it, their lives are suddenly changed once again.
